Use your ChatGPT subscription with Mandri

Connect your ChatGPT account as a provider in Mandri, then select one of its models with Codex. You need the Mandri desktop app and a ChatGPT account with access to Codex. Access and usage limits depend on your plan. OpenAI’s authentication guide distinguishes subscription access from separately billed API usage.

  1. Open Settings, then Providers, and select Add provider.
  2. Enter a Name, such as chatgpt. Give each account a distinct name if you connect several.
  3. Set Kind to ChatGPT (subscription). No API key is required.
  4. Select Connect ChatGPT, then Open ChatGPT.
  5. Sign in and authorize the connection in your browser, then return to Mandri.
  6. When Your account is connected appears, select Done.

Mandri creates its own sign-in session. You do not need to copy credentials from an existing Codex installation.

The actual Mandri interface with demonstration data. The browser sign-in is omitted and the model shown is fictional.

  1. Return to New chat and select your project folder.
  2. Choose Codex in the tool selector. It is included with Mandri.
  3. Open the model menu and select a model from chatgpt, or the provider name you chose.
  4. Choose Ask for approval, then send a request about your project.

The provider’s catalog in Settings lets you browse models. Select the model in the message composer to use it for a session. Follow the agent’s activity and review changes.

The browser does not open: select Copy link in the connection dialog and open it in your browser.

You sign in from another computer: open Signing in from another machine?. After authorization, copy the complete redirect address from the browser into Redirect URL, then select Complete connection. Use this only in your active Mandri sign-in dialog.

The sign-in link expires: start a new connection. If the account later needs authentication, use Reconnect account beside its provider in Settings.

A model request is refused: check your account’s access and usage limits. A model appearing in the catalog does not guarantee access to every request.
