Follow a task and review changes in Mandri
Once you have started a task, its session shows the agent’s response and activity. Open an existing conversation from the project in the sidebar to return to it.
Read the activity
Section titled “Read the activity”During a task, the activity label changes as the agent reads files, searches, edits or runs commands. Click an activity row to expand its recorded details. The information available depends on the tool running the agent.
Use these details to check what actually happened. For example, open a command’s result to read its output when the agent reports that a check failed. The final answer provides a summary; the activity gives you the recorded steps behind it.
Respond to an approval request
Section titled “Respond to an approval request”When an action needs your permission, Mandri displays a request in the session. Read the command, file path or requested action before choosing an answer. The buttons vary by tool and request: an approval may apply once or to the session.
Permissions determine which actions need your response. In Pi, Accept edits allows the edit and write tools. Other actions, such as running commands, can still require approval. In Codex, Ask for approval provides workspace access and asks for actions requiring approval. These modes have different rules, so read the description when choosing one.
If the task needs to stop, use the square Stop button in the message area. Check any files already changed before continuing.
Inspect the files
Section titled “Inspect the files”- Expand the row showing the number of files changed.
- Select a file to open its diff, which shows the changes line by line.
- Read the added and removed lines alongside the agent’s explanation.
Some tools provide change counts without the full differences. Mandri indicates when a diff is unavailable; individual edits may still be visible in the activity. You can also inspect the files in your editor.
Continue the conversation
Section titled “Continue the conversation”After the task finishes, send a follow-up in the same session to clarify a result or request a correction. Keep related work in that conversation so you can refer back to its activity and changes. Use New chat when you want to start a separate task.
